Become a contender for the Sterk Participation Award 2021

Researchers who make patient participation an indispensable part of their research, can compete for the Sterk Participation Award this year again. Prof. Dr. Peter Sterk explains in this Video the importance of this prize.  

With this award the Lung Foundation Netherlands aims to stimulate researchers in the respiratory field to make use of the patient perspective in all phases of their research and involve patients as a partner in the research set-up. Making use of the perspective and experience of patients gives researchers valuable information, which increases the relevance and quality of the research project. 

The Award comes with a prize of € 15.000. With this money the researcher can increase the involvement of patient representatives in his/her research and, can also be used for training in the field of patient participation or for publishing the research in open access journals.
