Jelle Folkerts received NRS Travel Grant

During my participation at the Mini-Symposium on Mast Cell Research, organized at Stanford University, I presented my recent findings regarding the effects of butyrate on mast cell activation. Coming from a Department specialized in Pulmonary Medicine, this visit offered me a chance to get valuable feedback on my project and mast cell data. Indeed, after the presentation and subsequent discussion I was able to better interpreted my micro array and pathway enrichment analysis data. Due to the visit, I gained new insights in how butyrate regulates mast cell function. This new information will be further utilized in our ongoing project.
